In psychotherapy, also known as ‘The talking cure’, you are guided to understand what your complaint(s) tell you about the current situation, a painful past, about fixed, impractical and painful behavioral patterns.
Physical complaints can be an expression of psychological pain, but you can also feel anxious, suffer from compulsive behaviour, feel depressed or tense, have nightmares or phobias. The inner pain can be caused by current problems or originate in older traumas.
During the sessions you’ll obtain new constructions of painful moments from the present or past to eventually be able to behave in a more flexible way and gain a new, more positive perspective for the future.
